Tickled Pink!

Flossy and Sophie are both tickled pink! They've received some amazing gifts from two of the loveliest people ever. First, look what Carmen of mi pequena evasion blog sent:

Carmen is so talented and generous!

Cupcake Cottage now has a whole new set of gorgeous shabby chic dishes, a beautiful tin biscuit box, a darling shabby spider plant growing in a tin can, and so much more. Carmen gave prizes to her top five blog commenters recently. Her prizes were so thoughtful and perfect for Cupcake Cottage. Thank you sooooooo much, Carmen! I love everything you sent. It is a pleasure to leave comments on your fun blog.

Next, look what happened when I made purchases from Magda at 1717mk on Etsy. First, I bought this sweet red tea kettle, and look at how it arrived from Poland, wrapped up like a tiny masterpiece:

What a treat to receive this specially-wrapped purchase!

And here is the same darling teapot in Cupcake Cottage:

Chocolate chip cookies and Magda's darling red tea kettle.

Then I saw Magda's new line of needle-felted miniature furniture, and I just had to have a small hand-painted pink stool that she made. This is how the stool arrived:

Magda's amazing miniature diorama!

Can you believe it?! She made me this gorgeous diorama with the stool, and she even included one of her darling signature miniature teddy bears! Notice the curtained window behind the bear. Wow!!!!! Her little bear is settling in in Cupcake Cottage's bedroom now:

Look at that cute face!

Thank you soooooooo much, Magda! There are no words for the gratitude I feel. Magda's blog has more incredible photos of her work. Don't miss it!

Darling cookies and cupcakes from Sweet Petite Shoppe.

Last, but not least, I'd like to introduce you to a fun new blog. Catherine of Sweet Petite Shoppe on Etsy has a new blog showcasing her darling miniature needle-felted animals and tasty sweet treats. If you have a chance, please visit her blog and give her a big blogland welcome. You won't be disappointed in her gorgeous creations.

Next post I'll tell you some amazing dollhouse news. Yes, it has all changed again, and that's why Sophie the bear is nowhere to be seen. I can't wait to share the news with you. xoxo Jennifer

Precious Swap Gifts From Carmen of Mi Pequena Evasion

As a regular reader of Mi Pequena Evasion blog, I can't help but notice that Carmen is extremely prolific at making miniatures. Each blog post, she shows the miniatures she has made. She makes about ten times as many miniatures as I do in the same amount of time! And she's so resourceful and creative too!

So recently, when I was looking at her latest blog post, there they were again: her adorable miniature daisy plants growing out of old tin cans. I finally decided to ask Carmen if she would mind doing a swap with me. All I wanted was a couple of her daisies. Here's what she sent me--wow!

The gorgeous orchid went straight into Dad's Dollhouse. And Carmen's beautiful hyacinth fits perfectly in my shabby chic Cupcake Cottage:

And look at these adorable miniature shabby plates she sent me, with pictures of my own little plush characters. Oh my! It took my breath away when I found them. There's Plushpussycat herself, Mama Mouse, Raccoon, Tomcat, Bella the Bride Bunny, and Houndstooth Pup!

She also sent tiny embroidery kits and miniature embroidery pattern books. So sweet!

Thank you so much, Carmen! You are so thoughtful! I love everything you sent me. My swap gifts to you are on their way. I hope you like them as much as I like your gifts to me! Keep having fun, everyone! xoxo Jennifer

One of Top Five in Carmen's Giveaway!

Wow! Carmen at Mi Pequena Evasion held a really special giveaway almost two weeks ago. She gave a prize to each of her top five commenters, and I was one of them! I got a note from Carmen to head over to her blog. When I got there, I had the opportunity to pick my favorite of the remaining prizes. Luckily, I got my favorite of all the prizes--woohoo! Carmen put my prize in the mail Tuesday, and by Monday I received it--all the way from Spain!

Look what cute things she made:

I love the shawl, purse, and sandals so much!

And aren't the books cute? I was supposed to receive only the small book, but then Carmen sent two more. The books open and have color pictures and writing inside. The inhabitants of my dollhouses must be very cosmopolitan, because apparently they read Italian! lol

Carmen still has a prize or two left for her blog's existing followers and new followers. If you want a chance, you need to leave a comment on her blog here. Thank you, Carmen, for such a lovely giveaway! You are very talented and very generous with your gifts! Until next time.... xoxo Jennifer
