Flossy and Bluebelle Beat the Heat!

We've been having a heatwave again here in Portland. It feels like the summer has been one long heatwave. Luckily for Flossy and Bluebelle, they've got yummy tropical drinks to help them beat the heat.


The coconut drinks are so cooling, in fact, that Flossy and Bluebelle feel as if they've been transported to a tropical paradise:


Meanwhile, Flossy has been baking again. This time she made chocolate chip cookies and strawberry waffles...


...AND two kinds of cake!


Mmm, if the drinks aren't enough to take their minds off the heat, these tasty treats will do the trick! Bluebelle makes a mental note to come visit Flossy's Cupcake Cottage more often. ;-)

    It really looks like a tropical paradise here, can I come too?! I do love the heat, and animals! Would love to sit down beside Flossy and Bluebelle, but I guess I'm too big....

    I'm sorry for the heatwave, I wished, you could send some of the heat to Germany :D - it's cold and rainy here since months, no summer at all.
    I love your miniature food!!! It looks awesome, especially the waffers with the little strawberries. Yummy! :) Bluebell really should visit Flossy more often... and me too :D

    Flossy and Bluebelle really know how to make the best out of every situation... ;O) Thank you for giving me a broad grin with the palm that appeared in the background. And all your treats look so yummy... no wonder those two enjoy themselves.     The drinks look so fabulous! Looks like they are on a resort vacation. I love the pink waffles with the strawberries. And the cakes are always so gorgeous! Enjoy the heat because the freezing cold will come soon enough and stay for too long! LOL!

    Hi Jennifer, I'm so sorry for the heatwave , it must be awful, I can´t make mini´s wenn the weather is so hot, I´m feeling only half a person, but you made some fabulous food and drinks !!
    the chocolate chip cookies and waffles look delicious, but I love the cake´s, the colors are so appealing :)

    What a fantastic way to pass the heat! Tropical drinks and wonderful treats! I can see myself enjoying a sip and relaxing under the palms!

    Oh but it will be so chilly soon that we will miss the warm days and be bunded up in sweaters and soft warm blankets!!

    You are so talented Jennifer! I love the coconut drinks! I had to zoom in the photo to view everything twice. Such a nice photo! And the cakes are beautiful as can be! I don't blame Bluebelle for wanting to visit Flossy more often!

    I love the scenery behind Flossy and Sophie that turns into a tropical paradise! lol
    Fortunately they had their tropical drinks, these poor girls seem to suffer from the heat! I would like to have a tea at Flossy's home, everything looks so good!

    Hi Jennifer! I'm glad Flossy and Bluebelle had their nice cold drinks, all that baking would have made Cupcake Cottage even warmer! Definitely worth it though, those cakes look great!

    Here in north Italy everyday is warm or cold (!!) never hot, this is not summer at all!

    I'm in love with those pink waffles! They are perfect!! The cookies and cakes are also very nice, but waffles are my favourite:)
    Here in Spain, it hasn't been hot untill last week, but then, it rained... Now, it's sunny and warm, but it doesn't look very much as summer...
