Mavis Mouse's sailor husband went back out to sea not long after Mavis married him. Since then
she had a baby, and her mother has moved into the big, lonely house to help out. Sometimes Mavis thinks wistfully about her wedding day not so long ago....
|
Mavis has pulled her wedding dress out from storage. |
|
She pulls it up against her body, remembering that special day. |
|
Mavis twirls around... |
|
...and twirls back again. |
|
She sighs. Now it's back to the kitchen to cook up more tasty treats. :-) |

her dress. |
Until next time, keep it fun! xo Jennifer

ReplyDeleteHi anna, The dress was a gift from Mieke of Petite Victorian Rose blog. Isn't it beautiful? xo Jennifer
DeletePoor Mavis! Being alone with a baby shortly after her marriage is very sad.
ReplyDeleteI wish something very good to happen to make her feel more upbeat.
Hi Jennifer! Very poignant. I'm sure her treats will cheer her up a bit! Mavis can dream and plan for the day her husband returns and they can properly celebrate as a family. I hope! Do you have any story plans for Mavis?
ReplyDeleteKind regards, Brian.
Hi Brian, We'll have to see about the story plans. This was a story I'd wanted to do for a long time. Looks like I might have to do another with a happier ending, though. ;-) xo Jennifer
DeleteOh that dress is so lovely! I feel for Mavis being alone. I hope the treats will cheer her up.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Lisa
It's so nice to have wonderful memories to think back on. Maybe, Mavis and her husband, one day should renew their promises, so they create more wonderful memories.
