First, some perfume bottles I made from a kit from The Craft Pack Company. I won't use all of these in the lovers cottage, but the light in the cottage looks pretty for showing off the bottles. This kit has really nice perfume bottle labels.
I love making something from a kit first, because there are instructions and a plan. Once I've made something from a kit, then I enjoy trying out my own ideas. Soon I'll make some more perfume bottles, this time from the Czech glass beads that I recently purchased at The Knittn' Kitten.
Next, I made a pair of miniature ladies gloves and a matching glove box from two Dragonfly International kits. I'll use these in Dad's Dollhouse in the master bedroom. Each glove has a separate piece for the thumb, which adds to the realism of the final product.
These kits were really fun to complete, and I have several more to do. Do you enjoy making miniatures from kits? Could you recommend any miniature kit companies that you like? I appreciate your comments either way! Until next time.... xoxo Jennifer
The perfume bottles are superb, I can almost smell their fragrance.
ReplyDeleteI never made anything from a kit yet. I suppose it must be fun.
Great work with the corset, was it also a kit? Have fun!
Hugs
rea´lly cute perume bottles :)<3And your lucky to get such good pictures :D the light is perfect here it's like when you go to school it's dark and when in the afternoon you come back-itäs dark again! so it's kind of hard to get good pictures :D
ReplyDeleteAnd from the first thing to another...;D Those gloves look awesome too :) I'm sorry, I can't recommand any kits- I have ner´ver tried to do them...

Lovely work - as always! I think you're right about kits being a good way to learn new techinques but I didn't do one so far. There's a flower kit waiting for me for a sunny-rainy-lazy-busy-funny-hero-day... whenever that day may come... ;O)
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
Birgit
I like the old look of the perfume bottles, perfect for your romantic house. Thank you for the links. I like kits too.
ReplyDeleteGeneviève
Hi Drora! Thank you for your compliment on the perfume bottles! Yes, I think you would enjoy kits--it would be like crayons with a coloring book and stickers for a child. They give you everything in a packet, and you can play! :-) So far my corsets have all been kits, starting with the one in my Big Miniatures Giveaway. Yesterday I developed my own corset pattern and will be testing it out today. ;-) Jennifer
ReplyDeleteHi Dinsku! Thank you for your nice comment! You know what this light is? It is a dark night in a dark room, with my craft lamp behind the dollhouse. If you experiment a little, you never know what great light you might get! ;-) That's what happened to me! :-) Thanks again for your lovely comment! :-) Jennifer
ReplyDeleteNot a problem, Dinsku! It is a real pleasure to hear from you! :-) Jennifer
ReplyDeleteBeautiful perfume bottles and also the cloves, are beautifull,
ReplyDeleteHi Rosanna! Dutch?! Thank goodness for Google Translate and the like. They're not perfect, but they sure do help! ;-) Thank you for your lovely comment--it is always wonderful to hear from you! :-) Jennifer
ReplyDeleteHi Birgit! I have a couple of flower kits waiting for me too. I'm going to have to be in a certain mood to do them, but I know the results will be very rewarding. It's always lovely to hear from you. Thank you for your fun comment! :-) Jennifer
ReplyDeleteHi Genevieve! Yes, the perfume bottles look vintage, don't they? That's one of the things I love about them too! Thanks for noticing! You like kits too? Can you recommend any kit companies that I should check out? Thank you for your lovely comment! :-) Jennifer

Great kits! Looks like you had a lot of fun with them. :)
ReplyDeleteBonitas botellas de perfume, y el corsé y los guantes propios de una gran dama.
ReplyDeleteBesos, Narán
I like the gloves in the box. Beautiful perfume bottles.
ReplyDeleteBye Faby
Beautiful perfume bottles and gloves! I love little kits because everything is there when you are ready to make it. I have done many kits over the years, I especially like furniture kits. I have a little glitter house kit for this winter from True 2 Scale that I am looking forward to putting together. Flower kits are great for getting a feel for making flowers without having to buy all the supplies needed to start.
ReplyDeleteMini Hugs,
Victoria
Los perfumes están preciosos y el corsei y los guantes son divinos!!!!!
ReplyDeleteBuen trabajo.
Besitos.

ReplyDeleteHi Fabiola! Thank you! It is always so nice to hear from you! :-) Jennifer
ReplyDeleteHi Victoria! Thank you for your lovely comment! Yes, everything that is needed is in the kit. That makes them really portable. I made the perfume bottles at a miniature club gathering and the gloves at a general crafting group. It is so nice to have something to take to such meetings--and without taking up a lot of space! Your glitter house kit sounds fun. I look forward to seeing it on your blog! :-) Jennifer
ReplyDeleteHola Carmen! Wow!!! Thank you for your kind words! Please come back and leave comments often, OK? ;-) Jennifer

Hi Mona! Thank you! And you're very welcome! Yes, I've found that it is a great way to learn, and for little money you can find out if you want to make more or never make it again! ;-) Jennifer
