Where Have You Gone, Sun? Plus Moo Cards
After a few days of glorious sun, we've had several days in a row of rain, including a hard downpour yesterday morning. Portland is known for rain. I took these photos a couple of weeks ago in our garden, when the sun was here. These photos are for all of you who wish you had some sunshine right about now.

Thank you Jennifer for the lovely reminder that yes, indeed the sun does shine in the Pacific Northwest - at least sometimes!!
ReplyDeleteYour garden, raised beds, and flowers are fabulous! Thank you SO much for sharing! xoxoxo Jeni
Hmmm... sun... sunshine... those words sound familiar... but what do they mean??? LOL - at the moment here in northern Germany, we have rain, more rain and as a little variation... even more rain... ;O) Thank you for those lovely pictures, your garden looks wonderful!
ReplyDeleteGreetings
Birgit
Hi Jeni! Thanks for your lovely comment! We DO need a reminder now and then, don't we?! :-)
ReplyDeleteJennifer
wonderful flowers. Lol our weather seems to be matching. Hugs Maria
ReplyDeleteHi Birgit, So sorry you're in the same boat there in Germany! Rain, rain, and more rain, huh?! :-) Thank you for your lovely comment.
ReplyDeleteJennifer
Hi Maria, Great to hear from you! You too? Oh no! Well, we know that rain leads to green, so at least that's a consolation. ;-) Thanks for leaving your sweet comment.
ReplyDeleteJennifer
Jenni, tienes un jardín muy bonito, se notan los cuidados que le das, me encantan tus flores.
ReplyDeleteUn beso
Hola Rosa Margarita! Thank you for your nice comment. My husband does all of the work in the garden (planting, weeding), and I fight to keep things that he wants to dig out! Oh, and I harvest veggies for us to eat. Does that count? :-)

Gorgeous flowers! We have plenty of sun down here in Texas. I don't think those flowers would look like that here with our 105 degrees everyday. Everything is looking burnt now. But I do love seeing the sun everyday.
ReplyDeletehugs,
Caroline
Hi Caroline, Thanks for a different perspective on the sun and for leaving a comment! I always enjoy your visits!

ReplyDeleteun abrazo
your garden should be enjoyable even in the rain, is beautiful.

What beautiful pictures of your flowers and the garden looks wonderful. It makes me homesick for the northwest.
ReplyDeleteIt is hot here in Phoenix and we have had several haboobs but none have reached our area in our small paradise.
Thank you for the great pictures.
Bev
Que preciosidad de jardín y además el color de esas flores es mi favorito.
ReplyDeleteJennifer,
ReplyDeleteI sure wish you could send the rain down here to Texas. We haven't had rain in over 10 months now, and just like Caroline said, things are beginning to look burnt to a crisp.
Your gardens are beautiful.
Take care,
Stacy
Beautiful flowers Jennifer & what a gorgeous garden - hopefully by now the sun will have returned to you! I am like a yoyo here with my washing - one minute it's on the line, the next it's back in the house! Fingers crossed that Summer hasn't 'retired' early this year! Best wishes to you! :) x
ReplyDeleteHola Maru! Thank you for your lovely comment! So it is very hot and dry there too, just as in Texas. It will be a relief when the cooler weather comes in October, eh? Great to hear from you. I look forward to seeing more of your miniature felted dogs--they are so cute!
ReplyDeleteJennifer
Hola Carmen! So the sun has gone on vacation "in your neck of the woods" (near you). So sorry to hear it! Of course, you are very fortunate that it is green! Thank you for commenting! I just love comments! :-)
ReplyDeleteJennifer
Hola Escuchar! Thank you for your sweet comment! Yes, I think it looks more beautiful here when the ground is wet. In fact, the day I took those garden pictures, the ground was dry, and it wasn't as pretty. Great to hear from you!
ReplyDeleteJennifer
Hi Leny, Thank you for your lovely comment! I got some tubers from my neighbor, now deceased, and they grew to be these iris flowers. When I see these flowers, I think of my dear neighbor.
ReplyDeleteJennifer
Hi Bev, Thank you for your lovely comment! It's easy to get homesick for the Pacific NW in the summer, eh?! But winter here can be very dark and rainy. Each place has its pluses and minuses. Glad you haven't been hit by haboobs (dust storms). That's a funny-sounding name, isn't it?!
ReplyDeleteJennifer
Hola Eloisa! So good to hear from you! Yes, the purple of the flowers is my favorite too. Thank you for your lovely comment!
ReplyDeleteJennifer
Oh Stacy, I wish I could send you and Caroline some of our rain! 10 months is such a long time without rain. Thanks for sharing--great to hear from you!
ReplyDeleteJennifer
Thank you Helen! Yes, the sun returned today. It is beautiful and not too hot. Sorry about your laundry! I know what you mean about hoping summer isn't over for the season. I guess weather comes and goes, just like everything else. :-) Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteJennifer
Enhorabuena por tu precioso jardin!!!!
ReplyDeleteQue bonitos colores.
besitos ascension
Hola Ascension! So good to hear from you! Thank you for your sweet compliments on my garden.
ReplyDeleteJennifer
How is it that you guys alllll have such fabulous gardens :)As you can see, I am a green eyed monster right now.
ReplyDeleteAnd did you plan to only have purple flowers? They are gorgeous !
Great garden! I like the layout of your garden. I love the flowers. Color, color, color! It has been so hot and dry in Philadelphia this summer. I had to really water just to keep things alive.
ReplyDeleteIf I could I would send you some sunshine from Greece... (too darn hot here!) I would love a splash of rain... ;-)
ReplyDeleteLovely garden you have!! Beautiful photos, thanks for sharing (also for the link from Moo!)
Hugs Jollie
Hi Jollie! That is a mighty sweet offer from you. A weather trade could be very interesting! Yes, Moo makes such beautiful business cards and other cards. I hope you like Moo too.
